A high speed car chase last night shown live on A&E’s Live PD led to police detaining a man who, as it turns out, was suspected of assaulting a former Deadliest Catch star.
According to The Spokesman-Review, Jorel Fultz led authorities on a chase that reportedly went as fast as 90 miles an hour:
The chase began when a deputy attempted to pull Fultz over near Sprague Avenue and Argonne Road.
Spokane County sheriff’s deputies gave a blow-by-blow account over their radios as the chase went on for at least 20 minutes. Fultz drove down shoulders, in center turn lanes and on the wrong side of the road in his attempts to evade deputies and avoid heavy traffic.
He blew through red lights, ran stop signs and at one point jumped the center divider on Sullivan Road near Broadway to duck into a parking lot. While driving through Liberty Lake he sent traffic cones flying as he sped north on Liberty Lake Road through a construction zone.
KREM2 obtained footage sent in by someone who was recording from their car nearby, which shows a deputy setting out spike strips and almost getting hit as Fultz sped by.
You can watch it in its entirety in the full Live PD episode here (it starts at the 12-minute mark).
Back in November, Fultz was one of two people arrested on suspicion of viciously assaulting and robbing Deadliest Catch star Jake Harris after a night at a casino.
