Fox News Producer Rebukes Jeanine Pirro For Spreading ‘False Narrative’ About Muslims
On Saturday night, Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro implied that Rep. Ilhan Omar may not be 100 percent loyal to the United States Constitution because she wears a hijab.
In the same opener where she called Rep. Nancy Pelosi “stupid,” Pirro said this while taking aim at Omar:
“Think about this. She’s not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat party…So if it’s not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from? Think about it. Omar wears a hijab, which according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested.”
Then in what sounded like an accusation in the form of the question, Pirro opined: “Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to sharia law which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?”
The comment was even too much for one Fox News staffer, who took to Twitter to ask Pirro to “stop spreading this false narrative that somehow Muslims hate America or women who wear a hijab aren’t American enough.”
@JudgeJeanine can you stop spreading this false narrative that somehow Muslims hate America or women who wear a hijab aren’t American enough? You have Muslims working at the same network you do, including myself. K thx. https://t.co/ZfKhRhlvM3

Pirro’s remarks likewise drew a strong reaction on Twitter, including some who noted that it is not only Muslim women who cover their heads and others who called Pirro’s words “a stunning show of Islamophobia.”

Then this “MuslimMarine” has two quick questions for Jeanine Pirro: what is an American Jew wearing a yamaka (kippah) and an American nun covering her head/body “indicative” of? https://t.co/KBRzFY2ppE

Jeanine Pirro is a disgrace. Ilhan Omar's right to wear hijab in accordance with her religious convictions is as constitutional as an Orthodox Jewish woman's right to wear a sheitel. Anything less is un-American. https://t.co/O4fpTJujao

In a stunning show of #Islamophobia on Saturday, Fox News host @JudgeJeanine questioned whether the hijab worn by Rep. @IlhanMN conflicts with the principles of the U.S. Constitution. Jeanine Pirro should be fired! https://t.co/14HnBq3uUX via @HuffPost

Said by a Fox anchor tonight. “Think about it Omar wears a hijab.” Jeanine Pirro goes on to ask in her monologue and latter her guests if Omar follows sharia law. https://t.co/kGHHS0bs66

Anyone who is TRULY concerned about Jews or any other at risk community should find Pirro's words nothing short of bone-chilling.
This is immoral. This is a sin.
And any truly vile person capable of spreading such filth could rally any minority off to the camps. https://t.co/0sYCicr5hv

the gas was starting to run low on the Ilhan Omar news cycle, so Jeanine Pirro is helpfully topping off the tank with hijabi panic

6. What Pirro is trying to sell, then, is just a version of a very old slur – the idea that anyone who's not a native-born Protestant can't be relied on to uphold American law. Which is a very strange thing for an Italian-American Catholic to do.

Has any mainstream Republican politician, pundit or media personality condemned Judge Jeanine Pirro's hateful comments against Muslim women, @IlhanMN and her promotion of the false "sharia conspiracy" yet?

Pirro pumping out straight bigotry without the usual padding. Just the hard stuff. Any consequences over there? Do Shep Smith or Bret Baier or Chris Wallace throw their serious journalist weight around?

I don't want to give Jeanine Pirro's ugly dual loyalty rant against Muslims any more attention, but did want to say this: It wasn't just her. There were writers and producers who signed off on that. And Fox will never hold any of them accountable.

Fox host Jeanine Pirro says Rep Ilhan Omar's hijab means she's against US Constitution😑
•Will anyone on the Right condemn this blatant xenophobia?
•Per Pirro logic, are Catholic Nuns against US Constitution too b/c of their habits?🤔

Pirro denounces Omar for accusing Jewish lawmakers of having dual loyalty and then turns around and says Omar is more loyal to Sharia than the Constitution because she wears a hijab. One thing many Jews and Muslims who are deeply loyal to the U.S. have in common: head-coverings. https://t.co/ntQd6Z3TwI
