Despite what you may have seen on cable news or read on The Daily Beast over the last few days, Mitt Romney announced once and for all Friday morning that he is not running for president again in 2016.
Some of the biggest media names on Twitter, who had been speculating about the possibility of Romney 3.0 for months, were quick to offer up their reactions:
wow. we wasted so much fucking time writing about and discussing Romney running. i won’t ever get that back

Romney's pragmatism/sanity prevail over his ambition.

Romney NOT running now according to multiple sources. If that's how he lays it out in 7 mins- who benefits the most? Jeb? Christie? Walker?

The candidate most relieved by the Romney no-go decision is Christie. He is a longer shot than many believe but now he has more $$$ access

Romney quits #2016 race. Right call. Jeb Bush better candidate in the moderate Republican category.

Great story to tell grandkids: where you were and what you were doing when you heard Mitt Romney was going to have a conference call.

Mitt Romney's not running for President to give the "next generation" of leaders space. He knows something about Ke$ha's 2016 plans.

I bet Gov Jeb Bush is dancing with the Gov Romney news
