Megyn Kelly Tweets on Her ‘First Day on the Job’ at NBC News, Reportedly Getting 9 AM Slot

If you’re waiting for Megyn Kelly‘s return to TV, you’ll have to wait a little longer. But today she tweeted to mark her first day on the job:

As you know, Kelly left Fox News months ago to join the NBC News family.

There’s been a lot of speculation about what her exact role will be at the network, but Politico is reporting that an NBC network spokesperson said Kelly will be getting the 9 am hour:

Variety‘s report on this news notes this would place her opposite Kelly Ripa in many markets. Just today Ryan Seacrest was named as Ripa’s new co-host.

You may remember that Tamron Hall co-hosted the 9 am hour before departing a few months ago, following reports that Kelly would be getting that time slot.

Kelly might be making her debut with NBC News with a Kardashian family interview.

It is worth noting that her first day at NBC News comes on the same exact day her former network, Fox News, announced the departure of network co-president Bill Shine.
