Megyn Kelly Shares Fauci’s Thoughts on Republicans in Resurfaced Clip

Megyn Kelly went off on Dr. Anthony Fauci for spouting nonstop “lies” in a resurfaced clip where he went door-to-door promoting Covid-19 vaccines — and bashed Republicans for being stubborn along the way.

Kelly was disgusted by a March 2023 PBS segment where Fauci tours Washington, D.C. with Mayor Muriel Bowser (D); the clip made the rounds on social media last week, after Fauci was thrust back into the headlines with his Fifth Amendment-filled testimony before Congress and the release of his pandemic diary.

Bowser asked Fauci at one point, “What are we gonna do about those other states?” — referring to Republican-led states where vaccines were not being pushed as hard. Fauci made it obvious he was sickened by those Red states.

“Oh my God. They’re gonna keep the outbreak smoldering in the country, it’s so crazy,” he griped.

He then gave his take on GOP supporters: “I mean, they’re not doing it because they say they don’t wanna do it; they’re Republicans, they don’t like to be told what to do. And we’ve gotta break that, you know, unpack that.”

The clip continued with Fauci telling a woman she needed to get vaccinated.

“You’re actually protecting your family by getting vaccinated,” Fauci told the masked woman, who was worried if she got the vaccine she would spread the virus to her kids.

“Oh my God, the lies!” Kelly said when the clip ended. She rolled her eyes to drive home how dumb she thought Fauci was. “Of course, the vaccine did not stop the transmission.”

She continued:

And just to hear him say it out loud is really remarkable — “We’ve gotta break that, the will of the Republican voters who don’t like to be told what to do.” By the way, I’ve never heard a better summation of what it means to be a Republican. You know, if you had to say it in five words or less, that’s a pretty good summary of where most of us on the right side of the aisle are — especially around his edicts.

Kelly shared the resurfaced clip after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) released Fauci’s Covid-19 diary on July 25.

Fauci at one point in August 2022 said it was important to get public health officials to stop “making the statement that the vaccines were not effective at all in preventing infection and transmission.” He said the statement was “not entirely true since there is so degree of modest but declining protection,” and by saying so it would “undermine the DoJ’s efforts at mandates for vaccines under certain circumstances.”

Fauci’s diary showed he was obsessed with media coverage, with the doc speculating in 2020 he had morphed into “the most famous and talked about person” in America — thanks to the press going “wild” over him.

His diary also included sections where he branded Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) a “complete disgrace,” repeatedly ripped President Donald Trump, and whined about the “stooges” at Fox News like Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Laura Ingraham. Fauci also wrote about a “relaxed” dinner he enjoyed with CNN star Jake Tapper, one week after he told Americans to “sacrifice” Thanksgiving.
