Remember when Donald Trump going third party was still being taken as a serious concern? Trump didn’t exactly work hard to put that to rest, being the sole candidate to raise his hand at the last debate when everyone was asked if they would stay loyal to the GOP.
Part of that included a willingness to support the eventual nominee, something that the GOP attempted to also tackle with a loyalty pledge. Trump signed it, but it would appear that George Pataki isn’t entirely on board, if the following declaration this morning is any indication:
Let me be very plain, I'm not going to vote for @RealDonaldTrump …He is unfit to be president @chucktodd @meetthepress @foxnewssunday #MTP
— George E. Pataki (@GovernorPataki) September 13, 2015
Yes, Pataki is making it clear he’s not voting for Trump if he ends up being the Republican nominee.
He elaborated:
I'll keep my dignity and the principles that the GOP was founded upon. https://t.co/1g1Vig4AeM

I would hope that every one of my fellow candidates will stand up and say our party cannot nominate @RealDonaldTrump @JebBush @JohnKasich
— George E. Pataki (@GovernorPataki) September 13, 2015
Why is a serially bankrupt @RealDonaldTrump who insults Mexicans, Women, Blacks, Jews & POW's on #2016 debate stage? #TajMahal #TrumpCastle
— George E. Pataki (@GovernorPataki) September 13, 2015
And here’s the part you knew was coming:
Why is someone like George Pataki, who did a terrible job as Governor of N.Y. and registers ZERO in the polls, allowed on the debate stage?
