Paul Ryan’s Office Responds to Trump: We Never ‘Asked’ for Endorsement
Paul Ryan has endorsed Donald Trump and has refused to condemn him too strongly, and Trump rewarded him by saying he doesn’t plan to endorse him.
Trump is most likely upset that Ryan, while not outright critical, released a statement rebutting his attacks on the Khans. But despite Khizr Khan‘s requests, Ryan has refused to denounce Trump himself.

Oh, they never asked. Because they thought the Republican nominee for president would naturally support the Republican Speaker of the House? Or because they didn’t want to make things worse by latching Trump and Ryan even closer?
