A horrible and disgusting story may impossibly somehow be taking a turn for the worse. CBS News is reporting that at least one of the accuser’s to have come forth in alleging sex-abuse against former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky is part of the embattled coach’s family. Sandusky’s lawyer has called these claims “totally unfounded,” suggesting that they may be the result of divorce and custody proceedings.
The CBS News report:
A source close to the case against former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky told CBS News that at least one of the children who recently came forward with new claims of sex-abuse is a member of Sandusky’s family, CBS News correspondent Anna Werner reports.
The source said the accuser came forward after Sandusky, 67, was arrested and charged with sexually abusing eight boys during a period of 15 years. The accuser also said that the alleged inappropriate contact happened before prosecutors filed charges, according to the source.
