Shep Smith on Flynn: ‘When You Start Blaming the Leaks and Not the Substance, There’s a Problem’

Fox’s Shep Smith and Judge Andrew Napolitano discussed this afternoon the fallout from Michael Flynn‘s resignation and what the White House has been saying about the onslaught of leaks.

Napolitano said there are some big potential legal issues here, especially if Flynn was conducting foreign policy on behalf of someone who was not yet the President of the United States.

And one of the big questions here, he added, is whether Flynn’s phone call is “the tip of an iceberg.”

President Trump today tweeted about how the “real story” here is leaks, and Smith brought up the idea that there are people in the intel community trying to go after Trump, but he also said, “When you start blaming the leaks and not the substance, there’s a problem. If the leaks were wrong, it would be different.”

He also took note of how the White House didn’t take action on Flynn until the headlines came out.
