Soldier Barely Survives After Failed Effort At Tossing Grenade (Video)

Grenade tossing is not child’s play. It was however, required training for a Chinese soldier whose task was fairly straightforward. Remove the pin and chuck the grenade over a low wall of close sandbags. For whatever reason, that turned out to be more challenging than one might have thought, or at least hoped. After being coached on technique by his Captain, the recruit blows the toss, throws it into the wall and like a scene out of D rate movie, the explosive bounces back and lands only feet from where they are standing.

If not for the quick thinking superior officer, both could have been seriously injured if not killed. Watch as the Captain yanks the recruit down to safety only a second before the grenade explodes.
