Trump Accuses Obama of Trying to ‘Discredit’ His Campaign: ‘Bigger Than Watergate!’

It’s been yet another busy morning for President Donald Trump on Twitter. Most notably, the 45th president took some time to blast the 44th.

Trump slammed former President Barack Obama for opening an investigation into his campaign — claiming he did so in order to “discredit” Trump, and help Hillary Clinton win the White House.

“Why did the Obama Administration start an investigation into the Trump Campaign (with zero proof of wrongdoing) long before the Election in November?” Trump wrote. “Wanted to discredit so Crooked H would win.”

“Unprecedented,” Trump added. “Bigger than Watergate!”

Trump went on to criticize his predecessor for not acting on Russian election interference.

“Obama did NOTHING about Russian meddling,” the president wrote.
