Trump Appears to Mock MSNBC’s Katy Tur: People Write Books When ‘They Know Nothing About Me’
President Trump seemingly targeted MSNBC’s Katy Tur today when he tweeted his anger towards people who write about him when they supposedly don’t know what they’re talking about.
Fascinating to watch people writing books and major articles about me and yet they know nothing about me & have zero access. #FAKE NEWS!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 12, 2017
Even though Trump didn’t name names, there’s reason to believe that the president’s anger is directed at Tur.
Tur was MSNBC’s Trump campaign correspondent during the 2016 election, and the mogul frequently antagonized her during his regular slams against the political press. One such incident caused #ImWithTur to trend on Twitter after Trump bashed Tur by name in the middle of a campaign rally.
The second bit of evidence that Trump was subtweeting Tur comes from the fact that he was upset about people who write books about him. Tur appeared on Morning Joe earlier today to talk about the release of her memoir Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History. The book contains Tur’s complete thoughts about what it was like to personally witness Trump’s unconventional rise to the presidency.
Even though Trump despises Morning Joe, recent reports have said the president was so pleased with the media coverage of his deal with Democrats that he has been “hate watching” his adversaries Mika and Joe.
