Twitter Lights Up After Trump Proclaims He’ll Get ’95% of the African American’ Vote in 2020

During a speech today, Donald Trump said that he believes 95% of black voters will vote for him after one term in office because his presidency would be so good for communities of color. He usually polls around 1-2% among potential voters of color, so the proclamation was a little shocking.

Unaided by a hashtag, the phrase “95% of the African American” began trending on Twitter briefly this evening.

In the event Trump wins in 2016, it will still take four years to determine if he or the people making jokes on Twitter are right.
