Twitter Suspends Rapper Azealia Banks After Predictably Stupid, Homophobic Tirade

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 2.02.26 PMMusical artist Azealia Banks may be known for being a bit of a trouble maker and a social media provocateur of sorts, but now the 24-year-old is facing a punishment that even Milo Yiannopoulos would be envious of.

Banks spent her day yesterday firing off a series of hateful tweets aimed at adorable love muffin and professional why-is-he-famous-again heartthrob Zayn Malik. In her tirade, Banks very casually referred to Malik as “hairy curry scented bitch,” (as one does, of course) and instructed him to, “Simmer down with that fake white boy rebellion and that wannabe beiber swag.”

That goes for you too Mediaite readers, what with your wanna Bieber swag and all.

Here’s a quick collection of some of the insults that Banks took to the vault this week:

@zaynmalik lol u a bitch nigga for even responding like that. Keep sucking this yung rapunxel dick u hairy curry scented bitch

@zaynmalik dude, I make better music than you. Simmer down with that fake white boy rebellion and that wannabe beiber swag
— BRUJA DEL BLOQUE (@AZEALIABANKS) May 10, 2016

@zaynmalik imma start calling you punjab you dirty bitch.
— BRUJA DEL BLOQUE (@AZEALIABANKS) May 10, 2016

LOL @ZAYNMALIK IS A FAGGOT
— BRUJA DEL BLOQUE (@AZEALIABANKS) May 10, 2016

Yeah you “dirty bitch” Malik, take your perfect jawline and remind-me-one-more-time-why-you’re-famous good looks somewhere else, because Azealia Banks isn’t cashing your checks anytime soon.

But where Banks’ Twitter account once stood now only shows a sad, barren wasteland reminiscent of much of the music that the 24-year-old rapper (I guess) produces. The message, “This account has been suspended,” now appears in that space.

Mediaite reported just last month on the only other logical target aside from Malik that Banks took aim at on social media: former Alaska Governor and why-are-you-still-famous person Sarah Palin. Although she deleted the following tweets that can only be described as a modern retelling of Finnegan’s Wake, Banks wrote of Palin:banks1banks2banks3

Hey, at least Bank’s Instagram is still alive and well.

J.D. Durkin (@jiveDurkey) is an editorial producer and columnist at Mediaite. You can follow him on Twitter, though his account has considerably fewer references to, “big veiny, ashy,” body parts than Azealia Banks’ account.
