Shots were fired in Ferguson tonight and two people were hit. The St. Louis County Police tweeted out that officers were involved:

Activists had gathered in Ferguson on Sunday to commemorate the anniversary of Michael Brown‘s death with marches and a moment of silence.
Protesters gathered on West Florissant Avenue tonight, where there was a sizable police presence. The situation got increasingly tense as the night progressed:

An AP photographer reportedly witnessed seeing ” a man lying face down, covered in blood, behind a boarded-up restaurant” and the extend of his injuries were unknown.
As acting police chief Andre Anderson was speaking to reporters, lots of shots broke out and people screamed and ran.
