WATCH LIVE: Acting FBI Director Testifies Before Senate Intelligence Committee

As James Comey‘s firing continues to shake up the political world, Andrew McCabe will take his place on Thursday in order to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

McCabe was named as the acting head of the FBI shortly after President Trump threw the bureau into turmoil by relieving Comey of his duties on Tuesday. McCabe is expected to address the latest international concerns for the United States, and today’s panel will also hear from CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, and NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers.

McCabe’s current promotion comes after he was named deputy director of the FBI back in 2016. NPR reports that the Department of Justice is reviewing other potential interim leaders until Trump nominates a candidate who can be reviewed by the Senate to fill Comey’s position.

The hearing is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. EST.
