Gateway Pundit Reporter Slams Dems for Being ‘Emotionally Attached’ to ‘MS-13 Gangbanger’ Abrego Garcia in Wild Question to Trump
Gateway Pundit reporter Jordan Conradson asked President Donald Trump a very leading question about Kilmar Abrego Garcia at a White House presser on Monday.
Abrego Garcia was paroled from federal custody last week, following a months-long battle with the Trump administration. Originally from El Salvador, he fled his home country as a teenager and most recently lived in Maryland, where he is married to a U.S. citizen and has children.
As part of Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, Abrego Garcia was detained and sent to the notorious Salvadoran prison CECOT. The Trump administration conceded that Abrego Garcia was deported and indefinitely imprisoned as a result of an “administrative error” as a judge had previously granted him protective status in the U.S. — meaning he could not be sent back to El Salvador out of fear for his safety. The migrants deported and imprisoned in El Salvador at taxpayer expense were not convicted of crimes or given any kind of due process before landing in El Salvador, which led to an outcry among many critics.
Abrego Garcia was eventually brought back to the U.S., where he was charged with human trafficking. The Trump administration has repeatedly insisted that Abrego Garcia is a member of the gang MS-13.
On Monday, he was again taken into custody by ICE agents when he arrived for a scheduled appointment in Baltimore.
In his question, Conradson attacked the Democratic Party for its stance on the case, asked for Trump’s thoughts on the latest development.
“Today, MS-13 gangbanger and human trafficker Kilmar Abrego Garcia turned himself into ICE in Baltimore,” Conradson said. “Do you have any comment on this? And why are the Democrats so emotionally attached to this man who beats his wife and is part of a terrorist organization?”
In response, Trump called Democrats “deranged” and claimed the pushback on the case against Abrego Garcia is merely a ploy to get votes.
“Because they think he’s gonna be good for votes,” Trump said, “and I think he’s very bad for votes. These people are deranged. He’s not good for votes. He beat the hell out of his wife. His wife is afraid to even talk about him. She’s been mauled by this animal and, you know, through a system of liberal courts, you know, he’s doing things — but no, we have that under control and [Attorney General Pam Bondi] has got that very much under control.”
Notably, Abrego Garcia’s wife led to charge for his return and spoke out publicly many times in his defense. “Our family is torn apart during this scary time. and our children miss their dad so much. Despite the challenges we continue to face with the U.S., and the Salvadorian government, I hope that the strength of faith and the resilience within us will keep us standing after all the punches we continue to receive. Our ability to fight back against these governments are testimonies to the spirit of fight and restraint that God has given us. We will continue standing strong, and we will never give up on you, Kilmer,” she said in April — for example.
