John Bolton Tells Jen Psaki There Will Be ‘Celebrations in the Kremlin’ If Trump is Reelected: Putin Thinks Trump is an ‘Easy Mark’

John Bolton is predicting “celebrations in the Kremlin” if his former boss Donald Trump is reelected to the White House.

In a Sunday interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, Bolton argued Russian President Vladimir Putin and other foreign leaders see Trump as an “easy mark.”

“I mean, if Trump is elected, there will be celebrations in the Kremlin, there’s no doubt about it, because Putin thinks that he is an easy mark,” Bolton, former National Security Advisor under Trump, said.

“Easy to manipulate,” Psaki added, agreeing.

Bolton predicted Trump’s massive legal bills, including a recent $350 million judgement, make him vulnerable to influence from foreign powers and called the troubles another reason the former president “is not fit” for office.

Bolton also pointed to a recent comment by Putin as a “clear disinformation effort.”

“Biden, he’s more experienced, more predictable, he’s a politician of the old formation,” Putin told Russian media last week about the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

Bolton argued the statement was to provide Trump an “opportunity” that he eagerly took when he spun the line a as a compliment.

“It’s a clear disinformation effort so, to give Trump the opportunity, which he is foolish enough to take, to say, ‘Well, I thought that was actually a compliment to me,'” Bolton said.
