Trump Compares Common Vaccine to a Nuclear Weapon

President Donald Trump compared the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccine to a nuclear bomb being set off inside a kid’s body during a Tuesday interview on Real America’s Voice.

The president championed the new childhood vaccine guidelines he and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. debuted Monday, with Trump claiming the old schedule was “too big” and “too much” at one time. He then talked about the MMR vaccine .

“If you give them separately — the M, the M, and the R, it’s fine,” Trump said. “When you put them together, they’re sort of like a nuclear weapon, according to some. So why wouldn’t you give them separately? What’s hurt by giving them separately?”

The MMR vaccine is typically given to kids around 12-15 months old, and a second dose is usually given around 4-6 years old.

“What do you have to lose?” Trump asked rhetorically. “If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. Nobody’s going to get hurt by it.”

His interview with RAV host Wayne Allyn Root followed the president signing an executive order breaking up the MMR vaccine.

RFK Jr. added during a televised interview from the White House he was fast-tracking research into vaccines and autism. Experts have long debunked the claim that vaccines cause autism.

“The task force is already working to disband vaccine options, examine the timing and sequencing of childhood vaccines, strengthen safety monitoring, advanced research into alternative actives and benefits, using American and international evidence,” Kennedy said. “Taken together, this is what gold standard science means.”

Trump told Root the government had previously recommended “pumping this massive amount of fluid” into kids which looked “like a Coca-Cola bottle.”

“I don’t care if it’s water, it’s too much,” Trump said.

Trump touched on a number of other topics in the interview, including bashing the Supreme Court for costing the U.S. “trillions” of dollars with its recent decision on birthright citizenship.
