‘The Memes Are Gonna Be Lit!’ CNN Analyst Highlights Propaganda Win for Iran After Trump Plane Scare

New details of President Donald Trump’s secretive scurrying as he exited the NATO Summit will become a huge propaganda win for Iran, predicted CNN’s Kim Dozier.

The Air Force One security saga took a new twist after the Washington Post reported dramatic details of the president’s July 8 departure from the summit, which went far beyond simply switching planes and ditching the Boeing jet gifted to him by the Qatari government.

As cameras watched, Trump and a few aides boarded a familiar Boeing 747 before sneaking out another exit and hiding in an airport catering truck, which whisked them to a waiting Air Force C-32A, the outlet reported.

The move left reporters and other White House staffers sitting ducks, critics noted.

Dozier told CNN’s Sara Sidner Tuesday the details are not just embarrassing, but give Iran tremendous ammunition in its propaganda war with the United States:

SARA SIDNER: Look, Kim, this is certainly not the first time that Iran has threatened to assassinate the president. But it is the first we’re hearing of these extraordinary measures used by the staff to make sure that the president escapes the threat.

What does that do to the threat ultimately, having these details out in the public now?

KIM DOZIER: Yeah, this is going to so embolden Tehran that a threat like this caused the president to have to get into some sort of food cart to go to another plane that the memes are going to be lit.

It also means that the U.S. Didn’t have enough confidence in Turkey’s defense situation to, presumably they were worried about possibly a shoulder-fired rocket.

Some sort of physical attack on the plane, or they were worried that somehow the plane had been tampered with, and that’s why he had to move to a different airframe.

Either way, it makes the Iranians look like they are skilled assassins that made a president scuttle in fear for his life, and that is not the kind of message that the U.S. President wants to be sending while he’s trying to be tough in negotiations right now.
