WATCH: Trump Whiffs on Eastern European Geography, Says Hungary Shares a Border With Russia

Donald Trump

While ranting about foreign policy, Former President Donald Trump mistakenly told his supporters that Hungary shares a border with Russia in eastern Europe.

Trump gave a rally speech at in Sioux City, Iowa on Sunday to a crowd of MAGA supporters as he continues to campaign throughout the state despite his many legal troubles, including multiple criminal indictments.

The Republican frontrunner took some time to address a key ally for many American conservatives, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. However, Trump’s speech revealed he is not well versed in eastern European geography

“Vitkor Orban, did anyone ever hear of Viktor Orban? He’s the head of Hungary,” Trump told supporters at the Iowa rally. “Hungary, fronts on both Ukraine and Russia.”

While Hungary does share a border with Ukraine at the country’s most western edge, it does not border Russia or any of it’s territories.

Watch his comments below as flagged by progressive media watchdog Ron Filipkowski.

The former president has long claimed that if he was in office Russian President Vladimir Putin would have never invaded Ukraine or attempted to gain control of the Donbas region.
