Trump Lashes Out at Bob Woodward: ‘I’ll Write the Real Book!’

President Donald Trump lashed out at Bob Woodward‘s exposé on his White House Monday, the day before its release, and declared that he will write “the real book”.

Woodward, the legendary reporter of Watergate fame, has reported on eight White Houses, and his latest book — Fear: Trump in the White House — has roiled the administration thanks to the explosive nature of its reporting. The book, based on hundreds of hours of interviews with officials inside the White House, casts Trump as dangerously misinformed, dishonest and unhinged.

“The Woodward book is a Joke – just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources,” Trump wrote on Twitter Monday morning. “Many have already come forward to say the quotes by them, like the book, are fiction. Dems can’t stand losing.”

“I’ll write the real book!” he added cryptically.

It’s unclear what Trump means when he says Woodward’s sources have been “disproven”, though some officials in his White House have claimed the quotes attributed to them in the book are inaccurate.

In a second tweet, Trump said “The White House is a ‘smooth running machine.’ We are making some of the biggest and most important deals in our country’s history – with many more to come! The Dems are going crazy!”
