Jake Paul Ramps Up the Trash Talk Against Mike Tyson in Fox News Hit With Jesse Watters: ‘He Can’t Bite My Ear Off if I Knock his Teeth Out’
YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul believes he’s being underestimated in his upcoming bout against the legendary Mike Tyson in July.
In March, Most Valuable Promotions — Paul’s own fighting promotion — announced the two men would face off in a match streamed exclusively on Netflix. Though Tyson is now 57 years old, it’s widely believed that he’ll still have the advantage as one of the greatest fighters the sport has ever seen.
Paul, however, has youth on his side. In an Wednesday night interview on Jesse Watters Primetime, he vowed to shock the world.
“I think he’s underestimating me,” Paul said in response to trash talk from Tyson. “I truly, truly think that; and it’s a heavyweight fight so he’s the bigger man but I’m the faster man. He’s the much stronger man, but I’m fresh. He’s experienced. I’m smart, but in the ring he may be smarter. So, it’s a really interesting matchup but I think the whole world and a lot of people see his training videos and yes, he looks like a beast. He’s a dog. He’s ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, but I believe I have what it takes beat him and I know this is the toughest test of my life; and it’s an honor to be in there with Mike — but at the end of the day, I’m gonna be the one who gets my hand raised.”
Watters then jokingly suggested the possibility of Tyson trying to bite Paul’s ear like he did with Evander Holyfield in 1997.
“He can’t bite my ear off if I knock his teeth out,” Paul responded.
When Watters asked who would win in a fight between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Paul said that Biden would simply fall down from the wind. Then, Paul extended an invitation to the fight to Trump, noting that he used to promote Tyson during his fighting days.
