YIKES: WaPo Cartoonist Re-Imagines GOP Logo to Represent the Party of Roy Moore

A cartoonist for The Washington Post redesigned the GOP logo, as the RNC jumps back in the Alabama Senate race, declaring they will provide Roy Moore with funds and support, despite the former judge being accused of habitually preying on young girls.

As you can see above, the cartoon, drawn by Ann Telnaes, is absolutely brutal, showing the GOP’s trademark elephant groping a little girl with its trunk, a reference to Moore’s alleged predilections.

Moore, in case you’ve been living under a rock, has been accused of sexually harassing and/or assaulting a number of young girls when he was in his 30s, even allegedly being banned from the Gadsden Mall for acting like a creep.

Earlier today, one of Moore’s accusers, Debbie Gibson, produced an old scrap book which included a graduation card allegedly penned by the Senate candidate, congratulating her on finishing high school. Gibson said they dated for several months when she was 17, something Moore vehemently denies.

“Happy graduation Debbie. I wanted to give you this card myself,” Moore is said to have written in the card. “I know that you’ll be a success in anything you do. Roy.”

President Donald Trump has offered his full-throated support to Moore, with many elected Republican officials falling in line. Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, however, did not tow the party line, saying that, were he to be elected, Moore “would be a stain on the GOP and on the nation.”

Polls have been all over the place and, with one week until the election, it is truly anyone’s ball game.
