Some strange and disturbing details have arisen in the death of John P. Wheeler III, former aide to the past three Republican Presidents. Wheeler’s body was discovered in a Delaware landfill on New Years Eve and his death was ruled a homicide. Now, surveillance camera footage has surfaced showing a disheveled Wheeler acting erratically in the days before his death. To make matters stranger, it also seemed he may have been involved in an arson attempt on a neighbor’s house.
The videos, which Fox News’ Eric Shawn describes as “heartbreaking,” show Wheeler wandering around a parking garage a couple of days before, and in an office building less than 14 hours before his death. In both, he appears confused and eye witnesses who were there at the time said they mistook him for a homeless man and that he refused help.
Meanwhile, police have found incendiary devices near the home of a New Castle neighbor of Wheeler. The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that Wheeler and the neighbor were involved in a building dispute over construction sizes. It is unclear if the devices were connected to the dispute or to his death.
The whole situation is very strange and very sad. You can watch the Fox News report on the subject as well as see some of the footage below:
