The shade is strong with LeBron.
Days after Fox News’ Laura Ingraham targeted him on her program and said he should “shut up and dribble” instead of comment on politics, Cleveland Cavs star LeBron James looked to get in the last word on the whole brouhaha.
With Ingraham doubling down on her commentary Friday night while inviting James to appear on her show to debate, the multi-time MVP appeared at the NBA All-Star 2018 Media Day this afternoon. And, of course, the subject of his feud with the Fox News host was broached.
But in James’ view, Ingraham isn’t even important enough for him to remember her name.
“The best thing she did is help me create more awareness, ” he told reporters. “I appreciate her for giving me even more awareness.”
He continued, “I get to sit up here and talk about social injustice, equality, and why a woman on a certain network decided to tell me to shut up and dribble. So, thank you, whatever her name is — I don’t even know her name.”
After someone else said “no one knows,” James said “that’s perfect” before adding that he gets to “sit up here and talk about what’s really important.”
