Laura Ingraham Stands by Attack on LeBron’s ‘Insipid Commentary’: Nothing to Do With Race
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham tonight addressed the backlash to her commentary insulting LeBron James and telling him to stick to sports.
Ingraham made those comments after anti-Trump remarks from James, telling him, “Shut up and dribble.”
Tonight she ridiculed the liberal “attack dogs” who called her a racist and stood by her comments about James’ “insipid commentary,” saying, “I called those remarks barely intelligible, not to mention ungrammatical… and the left erupted.”
She called herself an “equal-opportunity critic” on these issues and said, “Race has nothing to do with it.”
Ingraham then spoke with Burgess Owens and Niger Innis about the backlash she got––mostly focused on how the left plays the race card––and Ingraham, for some reason, played a clip of a public event in 2016 when James dropped a few profanities.
“If you want to be a political pundit,” she continued, “you’re coming on my court, okay? Let’s do it. Let’s have a real conversation about black unemployment. Let’s talk about violence in the inner city. Let’s talk about all the issues like school choice. Let’s do it. Don’t think you’re not going to get criticized if all you do is a drive-by hit on Trump and say he’s no leader.”
She also amusedly reacted to Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo calling her out on Twitter:
Someone tell this bitch to meet me outside… Im so not in the mood for playing nice or polite this week https://t.co/LUpm0k3ZvV
