Shocker: MSNBC Panel Turns Segment Praising Past Presidents Into a Dig at Trump

Responding to a recent interview with former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell spoke about another former President who she referred to as “an exemplar of a former President,” Jimmy Carter.

“If we wanna talk about former presidents, there is no one to match 92-year-old Jimmy Carter, now thankfully out of the hospital in Winnipeg,” said Mitchell.

The former President was discharged on Friday from a Canadian hospital where he received treatment after becoming dehydrated while working at a charity house-building project.

“He is really an exemplar of a former president,” proclaimed Mitchell. Most praise for Jimmy Carter is reserved for his post-presidential endeavors like Habitat for Humanity.

Going off the comments about Bush and Clinton about the importance of “know[ing] what you don’t know,” The Washington Post‘s Ashley Parker figured out a way to use a segment praising past presidents to take a shot at President Trump.

“This is not a White House that takes a ton of advice,” she said, encouraging Trump and his aides “to listen to this rare class of former Presidents.”

Trump hatred is apparently so high that liberal pundits are now suggesting that the President go to the “rare class” of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter for advice.
