Toobin: Trump’s CNN Hatred ‘Relevant’ to DOJ Action on AT&T-Time Warner Deal

With the DOJ filing lawsuit to block the AT&T-Time Warner deal, CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin noted the relevance of President Trump‘s personal feelings about one major Time Warner asset…

“The President of the United States hates CNN. He’s been tweeting about trains hitting people wearing CNN signs. I mean, actual violence against CNN. So, I mean, this is not some speculation on my part. The President has said it, over and over again, that he despises the place where we work. So that’s relevant.”

Recently when CNN’s Brian Stelter confronted Kellyanne Conway about whether the President is involved in the DOJ’s review of the deal, Conway accused Stelter of “throw[ing] that poison out to your viewers” and said, “We’re not going to interfere with that here.”
