President Donald Trump will be in West Columbia, SC tonight to hold a campaign rally and drum up support for the re-election of Governor Henry McMaster. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. EST.
The president enters the rally off of a tough week for his administration, mostly due to the broad levels of condemnation he received over the now-rescinded policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the border. Judging by his last few public events and rallies, however, it’s possible he will continue to slam “open-border” Democrats tonight, rip the media’s coverage on his policies, and also talk about how America needs new laws to stop illegal immigrants from running amok.
Trump will also more than likely tout his accomplishments in office tonight, though if he talks about the economy again, there might be a bit of a downer thanks to the news about Harley-Davidson. The motorcycle manufacturing company has announced that they are moving production out of the United States because the European Union is about to offer an economic retaliation to the Trump’s latest tariffs. While this might prompt questions eventually about the escalating trade war between the U.S. and its international trading partners, the president has taken notice of the news, and he isn’t happy about it.
Surprised that Harley-Davidson, of all companies, would be the first to wave the White Flag. I fought hard for them and ultimately they will not pay tariffs selling into the E.U., which has hurt us badly on trade, down $151 Billion. Taxes just a Harley excuse – be patient! #MAGA
