Broadcaster Michael Mosley has been reported missing on the Greek island of Symi on Wednesday, triggering the launch of a search operation.
The 67-year-old, who regularly appears on television programs such as This Morning and The One Show, disappeared while walking back from St Nicholas Beach on Wednesday afternoon. Mosley, who has worked for the BBC since 1985 and also hosts a health podcast, was last seen around 13:30 local time.
According to Sky News an appeal posted in a local Facebook group highlighted the urgency of the situation, noting: “A search and rescue team is coming from Athens with drones and other more sophisticated equipment to extend the search. They are expected to arrive by about 1 p.m. [local time on Thursday].”
