CNN’s Erin Burnett repeatedly pressed Donald Trump adviser Michael Cohen tonight on why he can’t just apologize for his “Second Amendment people” comment and move on.
Cohen said, “You can’t apologize to the whole world for their misinterpretation.” He lashed out at CNN for its reporting on the matter and said, “The whole notion of this segment is ridiculous.”
He said the media should be more focused on things that matter to the American people. Burnett suggested the media could do that more if Trump didn’t put his foot in his mouth so much.
As for the former head of the CIA saying Trump’s responsible for what people hear, Cohen said, “People will hear what they want to hear, people will think what they want to think”
