House Republican Says Democrats Want To ‘Transform Our Children Into Robots’

Rep. Russell Fry (R-SC) warned a rally crowd Friday that Democrats are planning to “transform our children into robots.”

The wild comment came during a gathering in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in support of Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC), who was appointed to her late brother Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) seat at President Donald Trump’s urging and is now in a runoff GOP primary against Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC).

The president also spoke at the event, despite being interrupted when a man wearing a shirt that read “KILL YOUR LOCAL PEDOPHILE” was removed from the crowd.

Speaking with Trump visible behind him, Fry asked the crowd, “Are we gonna let the Democrats unseal our border again? Are we gonna let them raise our taxes? Are we gonna let them transform our children into robots?”

With each question, the audience responded emphatically, “No!”

“No, of course we’re not,” Fry confirmed. “You know why? Because MAGA is strong, and MAGA is strong when we work as a team. This team right here, and Darline Graham is our next senator. Let’s go get the job done.”

While it’s not at all clear what Fry meant, once Trump took the stage, he asked the crowd to “pretend, please, that I’m on the ballot” and vote. About the potential of Democrats winning Congress in November, the president continued, “I’m going to be impeached. They’re gonna impeach me. They have no idea why.”

And after stepping away from the podium to listen to jeers from the crowd at the man wearing the “KILL YOUR LOCAL PEDOPHILE” shirt, Trump laughed, “That’s alright. That person’s going home to mom, gonna get scolded, ’cause mom is voting for us.”

Earlier on Friday, despite her recent debate flub where she brushed off a question about Taiwan by saying she wasn’t informed on foreign policy, the president emphasized that he thinks Graham is “going to do what the military wants, and really what the president wants” if elected.
