CNN’s Jeanne Moos Falls For The Charms Of @TommyXTopher Heart Attack Tweets
Have you heard the story about Mediaite’s own Tommy Christopher taking time out from the major heart attack he was suffering to tweet out updates to his followers? Well, it happened, and thankfully, our own White House correspondent is now ensconced in a South Jersey hospital while he awaits bypass surgery. That doesn’t mean that national news outlets don’t still want to cover this story. Take, for example, CNN’s Jeanne Moos, who filed the following report on Tommy (who she interviewed remotely via Skype.) Move over Koran Burning, looks like there’s another media spectacle brewing!
In Moos’ inimitable “this is how we live now” fashion, Tommy was featured on CNN festooned in the standard hospital gown one wears while awaiting surgery, tastefully shot from the front only. On a much more serious note, tomorrow morning Tommy heads into double-bypass surgery, which should take roughly four hours. His well-being will continue to be in all of our thoughts and prayers.
