Liz Mair Puts Trump Advisor in His Place: ‘Can You Avoid Interrupting For Like, Half a Second?’
Oh, man, did Boris Epshteyn and Liz Mair go at it yesterday on With All Due Respect. Epshteyn, who advises Donald Trump, and Mair, who has taken to backing Gary Johnson, could not stop talking over one another and insulting each other for being interrupting.
Here:
“Boris, Boris, Boris,” Mair said at one point, “can you avoid interrupting people for like, half a second? Because every time I see you on TV, this is all you do.”
Mair went on to say that her candidate’s views on foreign leaders aren’t “the optimal position,” but she still prefers Johnson to Hillary Clinton and Trump. She then smeared Trump’s relationship with Russia, only to be told by Epshteyn that she was wrong. Naturally, she hit him with, “Boris, I know that you spend a lot of time on TV so it’s hard to keep up on the news and what your candidate actually says, but the reality is that your candidate spends more time kissing Vladimir Putin‘s butt than just about anything else these days…”
He shot back that maybe her attitude is the reason she’s not on any campaigns this cycle, so she reminded him that she has worked on campaigns and, in fact, headed the superPAC that did the most damage to Trump (in her estimation).
Feisty.
Stick around until the end to see Mair say she doesn’t want to be part of any love fests, especially the one happening in the studio.
