Old Spice Parodies Get Political With Joe Miller’s Latest Campaign Ad
Apparently, people aren’t done making video imitations of that infamous Old Spice commercial just yet—even Sesame Street recently jumped on the bandwagon. Now Joe Miller, Alaska’s Republican Senate candidate, has made his own Old Spice Guy-inspired campaign ad.
It begins the way you’d expect an ad like this to begin: with a deep, male voice soothingly intoning, “Hello, voters. Look at your ballot. Now look at him,” Joe Miller, “now back to your ballot.”
The video, which also makes a point of mocking incumbent Lisa Murkowski, is clever, funny, and actually gets across a clear message. It also gets bonus points for referring to the Constitution as “that thing you love.” Watch the spot for yourself below.
