The MSNBC Lean Forward Ad Parodies Begin: The “Worst Person” Writing Process

video

The new MSNBC “Lean Forward” mega-campaign is already fodder for Jon Stewart, and now the first of what will likely be many parody ads is out.

The folks behind KeithOlbermann.com (as in, The Daily Caller) have a spoof of the Olbermann video promo from yesterday – only this one has him writing a “Worst Person” segment and not a “Special Comment.”

It’s actually less a parody then a very reality-based commercial, in which the focus is a “Worst Person” segment from last October in which Olbermann called Michelle Malkin a “big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.”

The fake ad below closes with a shot at the typing style of Olbermann. “MSNBC thought this was a bit too accurate in depicting what Keith’s show is really all about,” writes Jim Treacher of the Daily Caller.

“Lean Forward” is the new “Lean Left”.

OBAMA on Sunday: ‘REPUBLICANS WANT BLACKS TO STAY HOME’!

This is what happens when you elect a RACE-BAITING, PARTISAN “COMMUNITY ORGANIZER’ AGITANT as President!

Watch the Party of Racial Division do what they do best – PLAY THE RACE CARD!!

Olbermann & Obama – both of the same ILK!

As Mr. Krakauer notes, the piece is actually much less a parody and more a very reality-based commercial. The clip simply expresses Olbermann’s real views. He is easily the most sexist pundit on all of cable news. He is talented, though. It takes a lot to roll sexist, pompous, oafish, vile, bombastic, clod like, vulgar, shameless, warped, ignoble, boorish, unscrupulous, and tendentious all into one personna. Olbermann perfects it like art.

Thank God this clown’s not doing football analysis any more.

With apologies to my predecessor posters for making a substantive response, the slogan is ridiculous. “Lean” has a passive quality to it. “Leap” would have been better, except “Leap Forward” is a bit Maoist (the Great Leap Forward), “Hurl” has vomitus connotations, so we can’t use “Hurl Forward”. If I were a Tea Partier, I’d go with “Ascend Up”. As it is, does a news organization really need a slogan. I mean, “Fair and Balanced” has become an industry joke. I always like NPR’s simple, “And, now, the news.”

Actually, Bill-o is probably the most sexist, but Olbermann doesn’t garner any NOW awards.

So, what do you think of Favre’s penis getting so much exposure?

Seriously, my good King, I watch O’Reilly and I’ve seen enough of Olbermann – without actually “hurling forward.” On the sexist scale, it is not even close. Olbermann reminds me of a less intelligent version of Al Bundy from Married with Children.

As for NOW, we all know that NOW only passes out awards based on ideology. I believe they are giving their endorsed candidate Jerry Brown his NOW award for the conversation in which Meg Whitman was called a whore at a dinner later this week.

Ditto! You just don’t know how happy I am not to see Olbermann’s sorry ass on Sunday Night Football.

In fairness to Ms. Malkin, I recently conjured up a mashed up bag of meat with lipstick and it looks nothing like her! I’d say it more resembled Gloria Allred, but that’s neither here nor there.

Actually, it’s in my fridge…my dog deserves a break from Kibbles and Bits every now and then.

All I know is MSNBC is hack organization run by a bunch of 1/2 wits and under-utilizing the talent pool they possess. I give them a HUGE ’4′ on the scale of credibility, even below CNN.

How did he stay on the air after that? If he had said it about Hillary, his ass would have been shown the door. Dick.

Actually, Keith “Al Bundy” Olbermann DID say similar things about Hillary as MSNBC pushed Obama’s campaign as hard as it could. The best was this one, when he had his good buddy Howard Fineman on his show (as he frequently does) discussing how to get Hillary out of the race –

Fineman – “I think one of the superdelegates needs to talk to her and try to convince her.”

Olbermann (Al Bundy) – “Yeah, how about someone who takes her into a room and then comes out by himself.”

Just like you can put lipstick on a pig, and it’s still a pig, you can put an Armani suit on Keith “Al Bundy” Olbermann…..and he is still a pig.

    Royal King asked me:

“So, what do you think of Favre’s penis getting so much exposure?”

Actually I hadn’t given much thought at all to Favre’s penis. Evidently you have though. But hey, that’s all right. It’s 2010. Whatever floats your boat.

    Gak.

Hey, the better slogan is “Bend Over” because that’s what MSNBC has been doing for Barry for the last 2 years!

And deservedly so. Anyone who has an ounce of grey matter can see the progressive agenda and anyone who has a half-ounce of grey matter knows the so-called “progressive” agenda is diametrically opposed to freedom.
