Trump Endorsed By Ex-KKK Leader, Convicted Child Molester During Trial
A former Aryan Nation leader convicted of child molestation endorsed the campaign of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump during his trial.
According to Columbia, South Carolina newspaper The State, August Kreis III flashed a “Vote for Donald Trump” sign to the jury at one point during the three-day trial in the Lexington County courtroom.
The 61-year-old ex-KKK leader and one-time Jerry Springer Show guest was arrested on charges of child sexual abuse in February 2014. On Thursday, the jury found him guilty of two counts of committing lewd acts on a child and one count of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor child. He was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Douet Earley to 50 years behind bars.
Before sentencing, Kreis renewed his endorsement of Trump’s presidential campaign: “I will always hate the Jew. This government is run by an evil group of people, and please vote for Trump!”
In August, two brothers who beat a homeless Hispanic man, allegedly cited Trump’s speech against Mexico during their arrest and booking. Scott and Steven Leader have since been charged with a hate crime.
