Okay here’s a story that is sure to delight…

In the summer of 2008, I was interning for NBC News at the Republican convention in Minneapolis. The week leading up to the event, a large chair marked “KEITH’S CHAIR!” was a constant presence. Unfortunately, Keith never found it in his heart to grace the RNC with his presence, so it went unoccupied.

During this time, the interns (and MSNBC employees) shared stories about what the on-air personalities were REALLY like. David Gregory and Nora O’Donnell were prone to hysterical diva freakouts. Mika and Joe were absolute sweethearts. And Keith? He was a crazy, paranoid asshole who didn’t make eye contact with subordinates and lived in constant fear of his enemies, real and imagined.

Right or left, I can’t stand for someone who treats his employees poorly. So I suggested to the interns – whenever you have to fart, do it in “KEITH’S CHAIR!” After all the horror stories, they were happy to oblige. I could just picture him once the chair returned home, sniffing the seat and demanding that those responsible be fired immediately. In retrospect it probably would have caused extra grief for those unfortunate enough to work under him, but I’m sure our collective farts disappated during the trip back to 30 Rock. It was the thought that counted.

I find it painful that the teatards on this site will absolutely eat that story up, but what can I say. Even as a liberal I have to admit that Olbermann is an enormous douche both on and off camera.

Well, I think Tuck is just mad because a) he was canned at msnbc and b) KO has ripped Tuck and his website a new one over and over and over again. Look, I don’t dislike Tucker, or Tuck as his friends call him. I just feel sorry for him. Seriously, I like the guy and his bow tie.

Thing is, libs tend to hang out with other libs, and libs tend to not be military or ex-military, generally speaking. I live in a fairly conservative area, and I would say about two thirds of adult men are ex-military. My oldest son is ex-Air Force, and my youngest is current Army. Military service is just sort of natural, and it’s actually kind of amusing seeing these little piss ants challenge that, especially when they ask the wrong questions, thinking, “I have him now!”

Conservatives aren’t the ones trying to instill government control over private industries. Neither are we advocating putting in such onerous regulations, vague rules, and un-elected Czars that effectively put the government in control of whole swaths of the economy.

Conservatives aren’t the ones who have proposed creating some sort of national defense force that is separate from police, military, national guard that would be armed and answerable to, well, who knows. Obama’s talked about it but of course no details and I don’t think it’s gone anywhere legislatively.

Conservatives aren’t the ones who run around and say that paying taxes is patriotic/not paying them is un-patriotic so therefore let’s raise taxes to 90% for anyone who is considered rich and if someone protests having their hard-earned money confiscated, that they’re somehow unpatriotic. Conservatives also don’t run around and say that dissent is the highest form of patriotism and then as soon as the shoe is on the other foot, dissent of policy somehow morphs into racism, sexism, ageism, etc. This sort of distorted idea of increasing National Pride is meant to obfuscate the underlying critique rather than address the actual substance of the argument.

Conservatives aren’t the ones who feel that if only the other side were smarter, or understood more, or were more enlightened, or went to the right schools, or had the right jobs then all would be well. Conservatives aren’t the ones making up words and changing their definitions to make it more palatable. “Regulations” become “Reform”, “Socialized Medicine” becomes “universal healthcare”, “Taxes” become “user fees”.

Since I’ve never tried to have a show, obviously not very successful. But I am very successful at my chosen career, which is more than Tucker Carlson can say.

Tucker Carlson would be the most hated person on MSNBC…if they hadn’t fired him a long time ago.

I’ve never been a big fan of Tucker Carlson. That being said, I’d rather spend four years being forced to watch videos of his greatest hits than spending a few minutes with K.O.

Look, the guy has to show his Ivy (that’s Ivy, not Ivey rox) League diploma on TV…I don’t why he felt the need to show it. In the real world, someone does that and you walk away from him. Quickly, very quickly. And who fancies themselves a latter day Edward R. Murrow and then uses that odd voice to announce the worst person in the world. I mean…that is more than a little creepy. Please don’t invoke the names of conservative talkers who do the same thing. I don’t like it when they use odd voices and besides, aren’t liberals supposed to be better people?

Finally, whatever happened to the lament of the left regarding the politics of personal destruction? Tucker Carlson is a front for every smarmy corporation and Repulbican twit in the universe. The use of someone’s name as a website, regardless of intent, is an reprehensible act. Tucker may find the courts are not to easy on him and his sleazy friends.

I have no idea what kind of person Keith Olbermann is, nor do I care. I think the more proper question is “Why does Tucker Carlson care SO much?” I mean, buying someone’s name (essentially) just to be a jerk, especially since Carlson once sued because someone did the same to him? Both Olbermann and Carlson have been fired/left many, many, many jobs, so exactly why are readers supposed to care about this or them?
Also, not sure how well Carlson or his MSNBC contacts know Olbermann…Tucker insinuates that Olbermann doesn’t drive a car because of some paranoia (?), but I think most people know that Olbermann cannot legally drive because of an injury he received some years ago. Visions of 3-year old KO and TC throwing caca in the sandbox…and Mediaite helping….
