What Happens Now In Glenn Beck’s Crowd Size Bet With Bill O’Reilly?

Last week Glenn Beck said on his radio show that Bill O’Reilly bet him his Restoring Honor rally wouldn’t get a six-figure audience.

Despite across-the-board estimates, it’s certainly likely Beck won the bet, which sounded like it was for who would get to host the 8pmET Fox News hour. Now what?

Beck said O’Reilly told him, “I tell you what, if you have over a 100,000 or 200,000 you need to anchor the 8pm show. You do the O’Reilly Factor.”

Tonight the two Fox News hosts will meet as Beck will be a guest on O’Reilly’s program. Maybe they will discuss the bet there.

Beck obviously won’t take over the 8pmET hour, but how will they play it off? O’Reilly could change his tune and suddenly start referring to CBS News as a bastion of journalistic honesty. Or maybe they just ignore it ever happened.

Either way, a bet’s a bet. Especially in the No-Spin Zone.

Here was Beck describing the bet:

Mean while 7 US troops were killed in Afghanistan. I wonder if the families of those men really care about some bet between two millionaires.

Who killed those men, More Liberty? People aroused to hatred in part by the Islamaphobia meme that Glenn Beck is helping duplicate. I wonder of the families will make the connection from their lost family members to Beck to Pamela Geller?

    @ GlenBeckReview,

Are you trying to say that Glen Beck got those men killed?

I’ve been to the middle-east on numerous deployments – those that are fighting on the streets of Ramadi, or in the mountains of Afghanistan have no freakin clue who Beck is. Most villages in Afghanistan don’t even have running water. Those insurgents make the conscious decision to pull that trigger on the RPG, or emplace that IED. It’s called free will sir.

And if you want to see hate, you should really look into the mirror, because it is obvious that you hate the majority of Americans more than you hate the murderous Al Queda or the Taliban.

I watch most of Glenn’s appearances on the Factor. These guys appear to genuinely like & respect each other.

My thought, at the time, was that Bill intentionally helped Glenn by slightly lowering our expectations for a huge crowd.

You know, kind of like President Obama’s minions, who are busy lowering our nation’s expectations for our economy on all the news shows.

Those seven American hero’s signed up to go to war to avenge the deaths of 3,000 innocent Americans that were not warriors. God bless them and the thousands before them.
You’re not an Islamophobe? Why in heaven’s name not?

I’ve noticed that the pundits have failed to recognize that the Beck rally earned millions of dollars for the Special Operations Warriors Foundation. This is a great charity, and regardless of ideology, I hope all can be glad that this rally earned much needed money for those warriors.

Keith Olbermann and O’Reilly have a similar bet. Olmermann’s rally is at Lucky Strike Lanes on 42nd St & 12th Ave in Manhattan in a couple of weeks, and O’Reilly bet him that his rally wouldn’t draw more than 15 people. I think Bill will even the score on this one.

On what planet is 87,000 more than 100,000 or 200,000?

  • ChuckfromTacoma

It is in your own little liberal world where 200,000 to 250,000 people are mathematically reduced to 87,000.
The 87,000 number is pulled out of another moist, stinky liberal donkey.

That’s really pathetic, even for a leftist.

On Planet McClatchy, one of your publications, asshole:

WASHINGTON — Hundreds of thousands of people streamed onto the National Mall for a rally featuring Fox News personality Glenn Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate…

No crowd estimates were available, but thousands lined both sides of the reflecting pond facing the Lincoln Monument. Hotels throughout the Washington, D.C., region were sold out, and Metro, the Washington-area subway system, put out an advisory Saturday morning warning of crowded conditions on all lines.

It was so crowded that many people had a limited view and couldn’t hear the event well….

It would be sweet if Bill let him fill-in one night on The Factor.

What Beck and O’Reilly will do is try and kick Sean Hannity out of his 9PM time slot. They both hate Hannity’s guts(ever see either of them appear on Fox together?) And Hannity is just as big a lying piece of shit as those two douche bags but poor Sean gets no attention as a GOP whore.I think because Hannity justs does reruns of shows with Gingrich,Rove,Morris and Malkin as the only guests.

There is only one other person in the country that could draw a crowd like that and his name isn’t O’Reilly or Obama.
MSNBC, NBC and all the other left-wing networks could not promote an event by any of there so-called hosts and get more than 20,000 people.

Oh, in case you are wondering who the other person is, Rush Limbaugh.

  • JimBob

Does not make any difference which one has which time slot!

Either way they kick the crap out of whomever is on MSNBC or CNN
at the time in the ratings !!

The REST of the FOX Program Hosts?

Well they just do the SAME !

  • Stratdude

With all the foreplay going on, I think beck and o’reilly should get married.

Will the left ever move on from this whole, “phobia” thing? I mean, everytime someone opposes something the left champions, it’s because they have some “phobia.” This is why it’s hard to take them seriously.

once again the insane asylum escapee, “GlennBeckReview”, gets completely owned.

Olbermann doesn’t have a rally planned, mainly because he doesn’t consider himself a messianic leader who needs to tell people to turn to God. Though, absolute props to raising that much money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. I don’t think that Beck’s intentions were poor on this one at all. And heck, the idea of everyone should be better people and it will help the country. My only problem is the turning to God part. It was trite, a cop out. If he had just said, Be better people, that would’ve been a stronger message as opposed to turn to God. That’s the thing, people need some higher power to tell them to be good, why can’t they look inside and say, Well, being good would be nice. Also, by the looks of this message board, quite a few of you didn’t listen to Beck’s message.

    Sore loser:

A blogger apologized Monday after editors at the Huffington Post removed his opinion article offering $100,000 for a “sex tape or phone records or anything else” that succeeds in removing Fox News host Glenn Beck “from the public eye forever.”

The piece bylined by Beau Friedlander, the former editor-in-chief of the liberal Air America Radio, comes two days after Beck held his “Restoring Honor” rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington.

    Well let’s see here.

Keith Olbermann has 105,000 Twitter followers.

I think he might be able to get more than “15 people” to the fictional rally, Andy Lamb.

Compare and contrast with Sean Hannity’s 70,000.

And both Hannit and Beck have been on Twitter way longer than Keith. (But yes, Beck has more, with 280,000 followers).

Regardless, Andy Lamb is a sad liar when he says Keith could only get 15 people out to see him.

Try 50,000 if he promoted it for a month like Beck did. But Keith does not have the desire to be Jesus or Rod Stewart on stage.

    He’s happy off stage.
