‘That Is a Dream Booking!’ Ben Shapiro Says He Desperately Wants to Go on ‘The View’

Ben Shapiro revealed to Bill O’Reilly that his “dream booking” is to get invited on The View, which he said he’s tried to make happen unsuccessfully for years.

Shapiro joined O’Reilly this week on his We’ll Do It LIVE! podcast and towards the end of the show, Shapiro revealed his View dreams as O’Reilly trashed Disney, which is the parent company of ABC, which airs The View.

O’Reilly argued Disney has “hurt its brand” and alienated conservatives and independents due to its “radical form of presentation,” citing both The View and Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show.

“Can you get on The View or Good Morning America? Would they book you?” O’Reilly asked Shapiro.

“No, not in a million years,” Shapiro said, laughing. “I’ve been trying to get on The View for years. That is a dream booking for me.”

Shapiro said he’s a “hate-watching fan” of the show and he’d love to verbally tussle with hosts Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sunny Hostin.

“There is nothing I would love better than to have a conversation with Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin. I’m a bit of a hate-watching fan of The View, so I would definitely appreciate a booking slot, but that has never been in the offing. Ten years I’ve been trying to get myself booked on The View, so that’s not going to happen,” he said.

Behar said in October that she wants more Republican guests on The View and claimed they’re “scared” to come on the show. Vice President JD Vance notably made an appearance this year, but the show typically does not have on conservative guests.

O’Reilly said he hasn’t been on The View in years, saying the end of his invitations ended when Barbara Walters left the show in 2014.

In 2010, O’Reilly actually got Goldberg and Behar to leave the set during a heated debate about a proposed mosque near Ground Zero. Goldberg and Behar lost it after O’Reilly argued the mosque is inappropriate because “Muslims killed us on 9/11.”
