Woman Speaks Out on ‘Elusive’ Serial Goat Rapist: ‘Please Repent’

Caryville, Florida, resident Sharon Cruz-Pecina has spoken to the media in an attempt to communicate with a man she believes is sexually assaulting her goats.

“I have had the officers out here a few times, I just didn’t call [again] because I didn’t think like they were taking me serious,” she said of her decision to contact the media.

Cruz-Pecina, who bought goats five years ago so that her lactose-intolerant husband could have milk to drink that wouldn’t bother his stomach, thinks she knows who is assaulting her animals, but has been disappointed by the police department’s lack of haste in investigating the man, who has been charged with bestiality before.

She appealed to him:

Please leave my goats alone, please repent, please turn yourself in.

She shared with Florida’s WJHD 7 that she knows other residents of the area who have had similar issues with the man and also insisted she was “not jumping to conclusions.” She had a rape kit done on one of the victims in September and is currently waiting on DNA results to come in.

Sex with an animal was made a misdemeanor in the state in 2011. It had taken multiple attempts and a bill to make it a felony failed in 2008.
