Bill Maher On Zimmerman Tape: Is There Any Doubt That He Is A ‘Big F*cking Liar?’

Cap video

Bill Maher got really fired up on his show tonight over the Trayvon Martin shooting, and tore into George Zimmerman for his pithy defense of his actions that night, bluntly calling him a “big fucking liar.” Maher showed the tape of Zimmerman, which may or may not disprove the claim that Martin broke his nose and fought with him. Maher thought Zimmerman’s claim was completely ridiculous, and asked if the tape was definitive proof that Zimmerman was lying about the struggle.

This past Sunday, prior to my interview with Up With Chris Hayes host Chris Hayes, I got to observe the last hour-and-a-half of MSNBC’s new, rapidly rising weekend political roundtable. In the last installment of Inside Up With Chris Hayes, we take you behind the scenes and show you what happens during the show’s much-talked-about, but never seen, commercial breaks with Hayes and panelists Reihan Salam, Rebecca Traister, Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, and Elise Jordan.

I sort of wonder a little bit given that he’s yet to pick up a single voter from the collapses of Rick Perry, Herman Cain, — I mean, I’m just going to predict the eventual collapse of Newt Gingrich — if he gets that stumble which will come at the wrong time — I sort of wonder if Romney hasn’t peaked too early.”

Picture 1 video

With the news that the Herman Cain campaign had been given ten days notice that Politico was going to run a story on their candidate’s history with sexual harassment suits, the campaign’s bizarre, disorganized response has left many confused as to their competence. On this morning’s Up with Chris Hayes, the panel attempted to sort out what the game plan was for Team Cain, and went from attributing the response to either “stunning stupidity” or a conscious effort to “run against the press.”
