Bill O’Reilly Issues ‘Viewer Warning’ That MSNBC Hosts May ‘Commit Suicide’ Tomorrow

video

Most following the campaigns leading up to tomorrow’s midterm elections would agree that the Democrats have an uphill battle against them, and chances of success on their part are slim. Few are probably expecting, however, the magnitude of catastrophe that Bill O’Reilly predicted on The Factor tonight: mass televised suicides of MSNBC commentators so “gruesome” that children should be barred from watching the channel tomorrow.

Joking around with regular panelists Juan Williams and Mary Katharine Ham, O’Reilly warned that, if the elections go the way polls seem to indicate, the melancholy on the left will be such to render the response from liberal commentators unwatchable:

“I am going to issue a viewer warning right now for children not to watch MSNBC, because some people may commit suicide, they may set themselves on fire over there and it would be gruesome to watch.”

A comically hyperbolic comment for sure, though O’Reilly doesn’t leave the Democrats completely hopeless, warning that, should the Republicans get “cocky,” the election results may not be as exuberant as he expects.

O’Reilly’s warning for tomorrow’s election coverage via Fox News below:

But if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to see it, did it really happen? But in all seriousness, we need to appoint someone to check on Keith (aka King) on Wednesday morning. I’d hate for Prescious Perfect and FDR to go hungry.

  • Cancon2

Bathtub Boy bought his Gasoline today.

Watching the coverage, especially msnbc AND cnn, one certainly gets the message that they are playing up a catastrophy for DIMS and then the story will be, well, the Republicans couldn’t close the deal and the Teaparty is to blame. Just watch.

  • The Real Royal King

Bill-o seem to be projecting. He ought not assume that all are as emotionally needy and unstable as he.

  • TfT

Yes, the liberal media is so transparent – they are building up the wave, so when it’s not a tsunami they will blame it all on Sarah.

    Too funny.

I know I’ll be watching. Ohhhhhh… the schadenfreude will be thick at the old homestead.

Right Michelle-in-Utah. You’d pack a sack lunch to enjoy whilst watching a petulant child being starved as a punishment. You care for no one beyond the reach of you schnaz.

The funniest part wasn’t when O’Reilly said MSNBC would commit suicide but when “Token” said “Yeah, Hari Kari!”

Juan Williams has become the Ed MacMahon of The Factor. lol

We all know that the Democrats will keep the Senate and will probably only have their majority cut to 10 or so seats in the House. That brain stem Oreilly’s head is the one that will be exploding.

These people will be rabid. It is funny that these idiots have lied and made fun of Americans and now as Rev. Wright said. It has come home to roost. I figured they had already commited suicide because no one is watching but other rabid dogs

Shouldn’t your post include the Ed Shultz story that O’Reilly is so clearly joking about? Ed Shultz did threaten to light the studio on fire or something like that. I know that Olbermann and Maddow will be severely depressed tomorrow, but I think the joke was about an Ed Shultz meltdown.

Why shouldn’t I? Rushdie thinks organized religion, in all its stripes, is complete horseshit.

“God, Satan, Paradise, and Hell all vanished one day in my fifteenth year, when I quite abruptly lost my faith. [...]and afterwards, to prove my new-found atheism, I bought myself a rather tasteless ham sandwich, and so partook for the first time of the forbidden flesh of the swine. No thunderbolt arrived to strike me down. [...] From that day to this I have thought of myself as a wholly secular person.”

Well, we only need to look to the MA seat left after the death of Kennedy. MSNBC was unable to communicate in a rational manner how the seat went to a republican. Olbermann went through a rant of Brown thatwas over the top and wasn’t needed and in the end MSNBC canceled the rest of the live coverage that night.

The ACTUAL nightmare – for ALL of us – will just be getting started if the Tea Party Republicants get elected.

Mitch McConnell has pledged to make Obama a one-term president, without apparent regard for the harm he will do to the country in the process. Repubs Darryl Issa and Michele Bachmann have promised investigations – of WHAT exactly apparently doesn’t matter, as long as they can even remotely attack the president.

“How Glenn Beck led his tea party followers into the GOP”

    http://mediamatters.org/research/201010290037

“Glenn Beck’s political activism — from the 9/12 Project to his 8/28 rally — has made him a leader in the tea party movement. Beck has used that status to drive his followers into the Republican Party and bolster its get-out-the-vote efforts for the 2010 elections. . . . . ”

“Glenn Beck failed his 40-Day Challenge”

“When Glenn Beck announced his “40-Day Challenge” on his Fox News show, he pledged to “stop all lies for the next 40 days.” Beck has also said that Fox would fire him if he made “inaccurate” claims. But Beck habitually relies on false and misleading statements – Media Matters compiles 40 inaccurate claims Beck made on Fox during his 40-Day Challenge. . . . “

The most common death associated with hand guns is suicides, with many of them being GI. Now we have Bill joking about it. At least Yusuf was so over the top that there is no question he was joking. And I do believe the British understood this. That is why the accusation has not been used against him for a long time. (Until now, as a lame dagger at an impressive rally staged by two comedians.) Bill is making a joke using a metaphor, at best, but nevertheless, a metaphor that conjures up hurt feelings for tens of thousands of grieving relatives of those who have committed suicide. Isn’t that how the argument goes? Or worse, was Bill serious, he is now a commentator in a fair and balanced psychicatric journal?

Well Bill is a Christian man, isn’t he? Doesn’t the Bible pronounce some pretty heavy penalties for blasphemy, and or adultery? Not to mention fornication, sodomy, working on the Sabbath, etc. The fact that those things are in the Bible definitively establishes a Christian or Jew’s perspective on such matters, correct? So if Moses calls for stoning, or punishment of a slave, that pretty much covers it for you Christians and Jews, right?

I don’t “get” making jokes about suicide as a political tool. It is exactly the same thing. Bill is a Christian, Yusuf is Islamic. Isn’t Bill, as a Christian man, in a Christian nation, where suicide is an escalating problem, making jokes about suicide pretty much like Yusuf, an Islamic man, making terrorist jokes?

valk, Yusuf wasn’t joking. And I notice you have to keep bringing up O’Reilly. You just can not bring yourself to criticize anything a Muslim says, can you? It’s in the Koran that anyone defaming the prophet should be killed. Yusuf quoted it. It wasn’t a joke. And still you deflect. Why is it impossible for those of you on the left to criticize the Koran? You don’t have any trouble doing it with the Bible.

valk, Yusuf wasn’t joking.

Yusuf also said something about delivering Rushdie up to Osama Bin Laden. I suppose he was also serious about that?
