CNBC Debate Anchor Challenges Herman Cain Over ‘Princess Nancy’ Comment Given Recent Scandal

Video

After Wednesday night’s GOP debate on CNBC, candidate Herman Cain was asked about the booing that took place when he was asked about the allegations against him, as well as his decision to refer to Nancy Pelosi as “Princess Nancy.”

“Princess Nancy,” asked CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla, “in referring to Speaker Pelosi… Why go there, why refer to her that way given the controversy surrounding you and women? Do you not feel like that was trying to start to juggle when you’re already having to unicycle?”

Cain responded:

Well, I wouldn’t put it in those terms. That was a statement that I probably should not have made, but I was trying to make a point.

Quintanilla’s follow-up was phrased… interestingly: “Do you believe you’ve put the story to bed, so to speak? Are you back on track? Has your campaign effectively ended that controversy?”

“I am back on track,” Cain said. “Some people in the media are the ones that don’t wanna get back on track, ok?”

No, couldn’t ask just ONCE, now CNBC has to bring it up again.

What is with these leftist smear jobs? Is it reflexive? Like stealing other people’s labor?

    Cain is right.
It’s the media that won’t drop this. Not the voters.
CNBC was loudly booed by asking Cain a harassment question and still they kept going.
Seems like someone has an agenda.

He is known to call it as it is, that is one reason we like him. Its time for someone we can count on saying what they means.

the cons have no right to ever say anything again about Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner or any other sex thing that has involves Democrats—ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY ARE ALL CONSENTUAL…
all long as these people applaud buying prostities on the senate floor, applaud an habitual sexual preditor like Cain–priase sexual deviants like Newt, Clarence Thomas, the many governors, senators, congressmen-local, national and otherwise..
    it is over–
    the wheel have come off..
the gop is a mysoginist, women hating, over bearing party of bullies and harrassers..
    i hope that herman cain–goes to jail…
the time for the abuse of girls and boy and our women must stop now..
and it is obvious that the Republican party will not stop it—but instead–APPLAUD IT..

He wants to talk about issues, and wasn’t even able to make a congruent statement about his 999 sound-bite!

After being labeled as a sex-offender, the comment “Princess Nancy” was outrageous, misogynist, demeaning and idiotic.

We know that Clinton paid Paula Jones $850,000 in a harassment settlement, we know that he raped Juanita Braddrick, we know that he was getting Blow Jobs in the Oval office from a very young intern…..  We have yet to hear just what it was that Herman Cain other than Sharon Bialek accuses him of misinterpreting her intentions and even in her accusation when she told him to stop he did….  Now how do you even compare that to Slick Willy?

    btw FU back.

Is a leftist smear job some sort of sex act? Something that Cain would make you do to help you find employment? Sounds dirty.

I’m not really hip on the argot that all the kids are using these days.

I would like to go on record as the first to call the leftist smear job a RINO.

  • http://www.davidjkramer.co.cc// DavidKramer

Princess Pelosi? That is harassing Pelosi?

Shart, I would of called her the Wicked Witch of the West Pelosi. Do you think that means I am denigrating women? Sorry, not at all, I LOVE WOMEN. I despise Pelosi’s crony socialism, laws, attitude, etc.

Cain made a mistake, the mistake was for stating he should not have called her princess.

By the way BFD, has ANY Leader of the House ever not run again after losing the house?

What, do leftist Democrat witches like Pelosi think they should rule for life or what?

aaahh He raped her and there are a lot more women who have made such claims against Clinton, it is funny that you would come to his defense, as Clinton is well known for his sexcapades….  It is hardly the side of the argument that I would choose.

    Herman Cain should blame himself.

  • Rex the Wonder God

Well, let me try to explain, you nitwit. This is what you call your basic blatant disrespect. Representative Nancy Pelosi has twice been Speaker of the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress, and stands a pretty decent chance of being Speaker for at least a third term. Plus, she is the first woman in history to ever serve as Speaker, and the only one. As Speaker, she was, and in just over a year may well be again, according to the U.S. Constitution third in line of succession to the President.

Now let us examine what Mr. Cain said to this interviewer:

That was a statement that I probably should not have made, but I was trying to make a point.

Now, exactly what WAS that “point”, other than to show blatant partisan disrespect for another person who is a) smarter, b) more accomplished, c) with the opposing party, and d) MOST IMPORTANTLY, a woman?

THAT was the point: Herman Cain was deliberately disrespecting a woman. That should tell you something, or it would do if you were a normal person rather than the nitwit you are.

Now let us consider whether, of all the people in the whole wide world, there is even one person OTHER than Herman Cain who would have been better advised than he would have been to avoid using such blatantly disrespectful language about the HIGHEST RANKING FEMALE POLITICAL OFFICER IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES.

I think, all things considered, including what all Mr. Cain has gone through in the several days following the POLITICO expose article, no, there is not even one such person better advised not to have done this.

Now, let me close by pointing out what a smear is NOT: a smear is NOT putting to a political candidate the exact words that said political candidate said only minutes before on national TV. Whatever else a smear MIGHT be, that is DEFINITELY not a smear. My pointing out the obvious fact that, based simply on the things you have posted here, that you are a nitwit, that MIGHT be a smear, but for the fact that you are not a public figure but instead an internet avatar and also based on what any reasonable person would have to conclude from the content and organization of your comments. That is, your comments positively reek of nitwittery. Your being a nit wit is, as the legal beagles like to say, a matter of res ipsa loquitur, that is, the thing speaks for itself.

Prior to tonight, Herman Cain was entitled to assert that he was wrongly accused of being disrespectful towards women. Now, he can no longer do that. Now, we all have the evidence right in front of us. Now, it’s simple res ipsa loquitur.

To me then, Herman Cain is no longer a charming rogue, he is a serial bully of women. He is Herman the Creep, now and forever after.

  • Rex the Wonder God

No, you only think you did. You were, and remain, a simpleton, a nitwit, a fool and a bother.

  • Rex the Wonder God

Hard to see why they would want to give to 60 to 80 million American women voters the personal satisfaction of going into a ballot box to vote against Creepy Cain.

  • Rex the Wonder God

You like him because he’s creepy. You people love creepy.

” we know that he raped Juanita Braddrick,”

Really? Are you that fn’ stupid?  You teabaggers are a joke, and you wonder why no one takes your dumbasses seriously.

  • Rex the Wonder God

Actually, that may be better than my suggestion of Creepy Cain, but I was going there with alliteration, and words like pervert and deviate, or my fave “deviated PRE-vert” as Keenan Wynn said it as the character Bat Guano in Dr. Strangelove, just don’t rhyme with Herman or Cain.

But I am open to using them all, so long as they fit, and Pervert Herman does fit, as does Creepy Cain, and now may Deviated Prevert Herman Cain.

You are a bad, bad man, Herman Cain, and this is going to haunt you for the rest of your miserable life.

Coming from you, I take it as a compliment.

You must think that the Dems are some kind of pure political construct or something. I could post hundreds of smarmy, condescending and political attacks she has spouted over the years, but why bother? You would make excuses for each and every one of them. If you hadn’t noticed, the crowd there has not bought into YOUR smear merchants. No matter that you have filled the airwaves with 100′s of attacks. What, you think Cain should act a certain way because you think it is the proper way to act?

If someone does not act the way they are, it comes across as a lie. Is that what you think this country needs, is another liar and fake like 90% of the democrat party including Pelosi?

I must remind you, I do not follow your PC crud, never have never will. It is a way to control people and I am an individual, not part of your collective.

By the way, any time you want to debate anything of any substitive content, I am a member at several debate forums.

One other thing, YOU idiot are the avatar. If you have not noticed I am not. It is not that hard to actually see things right in front of you, but maybe for you, it is. Your other comment I did not bother to read, I just scanned it. Full of your standard blather so it was for the best.

In response to my requests, here are my scores for last night:

    Bartiromo and Harwood; CNBC: A+
    — Best moderators/questioners so far. Excellent questions. Good control. Even the Newt couldn’t squirm out.
    Willard: B+
    — Dull, but largely effective. A little too rehearsed.
    Huntsmann: B
    — Still the best candidate in the race. Intelligent. Articulate.
    Dr. Ron Paul: C
    — Getting loonier at each debate. I expect to award him a C+ soon.
    Sanitarium: C-
    — Largely on sympathy, but still the most principled candidate in the race.
    The Newt: D+
    — Debate performance probably deserves higher. Media attacks getting old. Bartiromo had his lunch!
    Herb: D
    — Not all that bright, is he? 9-9-9 is becoming trite.
    Mad Michelle: D-
    — Does anyone know why she is still in the race?
    Tollbooth: F
    — Even I was shocked at how bad he was. Someone needs to put him out of his misery.

    Top three moments:
    #1 Uh. Uh. Uh. Oops.
#2 Bartiromo turns the Newt into a sniveling, chastened child. “Do you want to answer, or not?” The words flowed like lava from an erupting volcano then.
#3 Princess Pelosi. Not the brightest thing to say when you’re already alienating women in huge numbers.

Cain makes me cringe and needs to get out now before more destruction occurs.  I understand the accusers are of questionable character but he flat out lied when he said he never met that woman when just the day before, a cain supporter told a story of the two hugging it out at a tea party rally.  Cain is caught and needs to have some honor and leave.  This has nothing to do with race and when he pulled the race card, he became no better than Al Sharpton.  He is not qualified to be president and trying to understand why his supporters believe he can win.  We have Obama due to white guilt.  Let’s not make the same mistake on the right.

Look Joe, All I am saying is that very little has really come out on Cain so far other than that the NRA settled to harassment allegations which may or may not mean something as it is often easier to settle such things and be done with them rather than to fight them out.  Insurance companies do the same, innocence matters little as it becomes a business proposition.  Having said that if can be shown that Cain is guilty of a pattern of sexual harassment then I am sure that he will lose his support.  One of the  women who settled also filed a later complaint about a joke comparing both men and women to a computer, and honestly the joke maybe was a little out of place in a working environment it was hardly offensive enough to bring up to the level of sexual harassment.  So just settle down and wait to see what actually comes out…  The reason you see Clinton being bought into the conversation is that the allegations against Clinton were much worse and better substantiated than are those against Cain and it appears that those willing to crucify Cain before the actual facts are out while at the same time practicing selective outrage.  This issue seems to be one that you are really passionate about, just try and keep in mind that Cain at this moment deserves some modicum of the benefit of doubt as we really don’t know what happened yet, but with time the facts will come out…  why not just reserve judgement till that happens?

Here are some of the allegations against Clinton, maybe you missed them, if what you are demanding be done to Cain at this moment had been done to Clinton he would have never become president… Juanita Broaddrick’s terrifying story of a violent rape by Bill Clinton is only one of more than a dozen cases of sexual assault by the President that go back 30 years.Capitol Hill Blue has confirmed that the charge is but one of many allegations of sexual assault by the President.A five month investigation into the President’s questionable sexual history reveal incidents that go back as far as Clinton’s college days, with more than a dozen women claiming his sexual appetites leave little room for the word ”no.”Juanita Broaddrick, an Arkansas woman who worked on Bill Clinton’s campaign when he was attorney general, told NBC’s Lisa Meyers two weeks ago she was raped by Clinton. NBC, under intense pressure by the White House, shelved the interview. The White House also threatened Fox News Tuesday after it reported the story. Broaddrick finally took her story to The Wall Street Journal, which published her account of the brutal rape at the hands of the future President. But Broaddrick’s story is only one account of many sexual assaults by Clinton. Among the other incidents:• A 1969 charge by a Eileen Wellstone, 19-year-old English woman who said Clinton assaulted her after she met him at a pub near the Oxford University campus where the future President was a student. A retired State Department employee, who asked not to be identified, confirmed this week that he spoke with the family of the girl and filed a report with his superiors. Clinton admitted having sex with the girl, but claimed it was consensual. The victim’s family declined to pursue the case;• In 1972, a 22-year-old woman told campus police at Yale University that she was sexually assaulted by Clinton, who was a law student at the college. No charges were filed, but retired campus policemen contacted by Capitol Hill Blue confirmed the incident;• In 1974, a female student at the University of Arkansas complained that then-law professor Bill Clinton tried to prevent her from leaving his office during a conference. She said he groped her and forced his hand inside her blouse. Clinton claimed the student ”came on” to him and she left the school shortly after the incident. Several former students at the University have confirmed the incident in confidential interviews;• Broaddrick, a volunteer in Clinton’s attorney general campaign, said he raped her in 1978;• From 1978-1980, during Clinton’s first term as governor of Arkansas, state troopers assigned to protect the governor reported seven complaints from women who said Clinton forced, or attempted to force, himself on them sexually. One retired state trooper said in an interview that the common joke among those assigned to protect Clinton was “who’s next?”;• Elizabeth Ward, the Miss Arkansas who won the Miss America crown in 1982, told friends she was forced by Clinton to have sex with him shortly after she won her state crown. Last year, Ward, who is now married with the last name of Gracen, told an interviewer she did have sex with Clinton but said it was consensual. She later recanted that interview and said she had been threatened by Clinton supporters into claiming the sex was consensual.• Paula Corbin, an Arkansas state worker, filed a sexual harassment case against Clinton after an encounter in a Little Rock hotel room where the then-governor exposed himself and demanded oral sex. Clinton settled the case with Jones recently with a cash payment.• Sandra Allen James, a former Washington, DC, political fundraiser says Presidential candidate-to-be Clinton invited her to his hotel room during a political trip to the nation’s capital in 1991, pinned her against the wall and stuck his hand up her dress. She says she screamed loud enough for the Arkansas State Trooper stationed outside the hotel suite to bang on the door and ask if everything was all right, at which point Clinton released her and she fled the room. When she reported the incident to her boss, he advised her to keep her mouth shut if she wanted to keep working. Miss James has since married and left Washington.• Kathleen Willey, a White House volunteer, reported that Clinton grabbed her, fondled her breast and pressed her hand against his genitals during an Oval Office meeting in November, 1993. Willey, who told her story in a 60 Minutes interview, became a target of a White House-directed smear campaign after she went public. In an interview with Capitol Hill Blue this week, the retired State Department employee said he believed the story Miss Wellstone, the young English woman who said Clinton raped her in 1969.”There was no doubt in my mind that this young woman had suffered severe emotional trauma,” he said. ”But we were under tremendous pressure to avoid the embarrassment of having a Rhodes Scholar charged with rape. I filed a report with my superiors and that was the last I heard of it.”Miss Wellstone, who is now married and lives in London, confirmed the incident when contacted this week, but refused to discuss the matter further.Capitol Hill Blue also spoke with the former Miss James, the Washington fundraiser who confirmed the incident, but first said she would not go public because anyone who does so is destroyed by the Clinton White House.”My husband and children deserve better than that,” she said when first contacted two weeks ago. After reading the Broaddrick story Friday, however, she called and gave permission to use her maiden name. The other encounters were confirmed with more than 30 interviews with retired Arkansas state employees, former state troopers and former Yale and University of Arkansas students. Like others, they refused to go public because of fears of retaliation from the Clinton White House.Likewise, the mainstream media has shied away from the Broaddrick story. Initially, only The Drudge Report and other Internet news sites have actively pursued it.

I call my little grand-daughter ‘Princess’, as an endearing term. I no context – unless you are the soul-mate of Lenin’s Bolsheviks of 1917 – could one consider ‘princess’ an offensive term.

Especially in view of the fact what liberal smear-mongers and progressive hate-merchants called Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, Michelle Bachmann and any and all women who dared not to toe the liberal line. Not once, but repeatedly. And none of those women ever held the position of holding the strings on the nation’s purse, like Nancy Pelosi.

Poor Republican tool. I guess you’re too dumb to realize that when you’re being accused of raping 5 women, you can’t demean the first female speaker of the house of being a princess. It would be like referring to Herman Cain as some mac daddy pimp. In Cain’s own words, “it’s unsensative”.

blah, blah, blah.   Why not wait til all the facts to come to light, then make an informed decision.  You know, like politico should have done before reporting rumors without names or details.

  • Anonymous

don’t wish for that.  This is an anyone-but the incumbent election year.  The republican will likely win regardless of their merit.

As my liberal friend said in 2008, she voted for McCain as the ‘lesser of two evils’.   She didn’t want to, but she didn’t like Obama more since he had no experience.  She wanted to vote for Hillary, but she wasn’t the option.

David, your posts proves how juvenille Republicans like you and Cain are.

Does it help you to name call an adult?

Oh I guess it does since you guys are never able to stick to the issues because your side always loses when facts are stated.

Well, at least the righties names are “Cutesy”, usually lefties go for more colorful explicit names.  You know,  “Teabagger”, “Magic Negro”, “Whore”,  or even “Long Dong Silver”  Wait wait, I know there is not “Grand Wizard” in the republican machine to well, you know, shut Cain up, but maybe the press can.  Of course the democrats did have a “Grand Wizard” or Grand Cyclops as Senate Majority leader for years and holds the record for longest active Senator in history.   But as Bill “sex does not matter” Clinton said, Robert Byrd was doing just what was needed to get elected at the time.

The point here is that it rocks and glass houses do not mix, for either side.

Hey, Mediaite (Danny Boy)…This is People Magazine shit and it’s history.
How about some REAL news….Like Holder’s scams and Obama’s sneaky little self?
Cain is innocent because none of these liberal sluts has any proof anything happened….Let it go.

It was 100 times better than the first two or three debates, when the Teapublicons concentrated on the Sodom and Gomorrah issues the religious right loves to wallow in.

Did any Teapublicons notice that our military did not disintegrate or attempt a coup when DADT ended?

I’m sure everybody at that debate knew about the defeat of conservative ideas when people voted on them the day before. The defeat of “personhood” and support of public employee unions.

No lets have the Republicans put Mitt Romney up for their candidate so we can have 4 more years of Obama, hows that going to work out?  You know, they guy who last Friday told the Congress to take their subpoena’s and shove them.  The guy that even ACLU has had to call out for his administration’s contempt for our rule of law.

Look what do you really want the Cain to do?   If he steps aside, it will destroy his life and legacy FOREVER, whether the accusations are true or false.  At least he is not doing what almost every one expects a politician to do, fight head on.

This also goes beyond one candidate in one election.  Are you will to quit your job if you are accused by the opposite sex of harassment.  Will you be ready to be put on a sex offender’s list for opening a door for a woman or being nice to a person who is not your spouse/partner/soul mate/FWB/ (yes that was on purpose).  Look where we are now from where we were and tell me it can’t happen.

I believe that if Cain folds now that it will also be a signal to the left’s media darlings that all they have to do is accuse anyone they don’t like of some trumped up charge presto they win.  You do remember we have a Chicago politician in the White House?   They can and will pull out the stops to destroy the canidate the elephants pick and the Media will gleefully help them.  Besides, people are not fleeing Cain the way most, especially the candidates and the media thought, because they are probably waiting to see if Cain will stand his ground or fold.  The fact that he is standing his ground is refreshing.  Will Cain prevail, I don’t know, but I am happy to see someone finally hold their ground against these jackals.

Oh, BTW progressives and Glenn Beck haters, it’s time to pull out George Soro’s money and get him to destroy Yahoo for you.  The Blaze will be partnering with Yahoo news to bring you election coverage.
So time for you all to start sending hate mail, putting CEO model heads on pikes, hacking servers, sending some OWS protesters to Yahoo HQ to do whatever it takes to stop the partnership.  I guess there are some Yahoo accounts about to close.  Oh, hey, don’t forget to destroy Yahoo’s sponsors as well, after all they are just lowlife capitalist who provide goods and services that you will never want again.   No, I don’t think I am giving anyone ideas, they are probably doing it already.

Why are you feigning surprise or indignation?  We Conservatives have been, for the most part, politely tolerating that type of Left wing nonsense for years!  The left gets away with behavior/vulgarity that  the Right would get pelted with with PC hyperbolae for.  Absolutely NO COMPARISON, between the relatively adult and sophisticated Right and puerile and callow Leftist’s.

I won’t even debate it!  The Left doesn’t get their way, and they throw a tantrum.  Conversely, the Right goes back to drawing board staying within the confines of civil society and the law!Case in point, is the abject illegal gatherings of the OWS this pst month.  On the one hand, the Tea Party goes through the legal motions and acquired the proper permits.  Then the Tea Party has their rally, cleans up and goes home.  (To make money and pay taxes so the miscreants at OWS, etc., can have their illegal tantrums…)

Heaven forbid if the Tea Party actually behaved like they have been accused of?Also, is there a Right Wing show, similar too Jon Stewart, Bill Maher that is as crass, vulgar, thus mendacious as the Left wing shows?  It seems as if the profane and tasteless, is the exclusive domain of Leftist TV comedy shows?

I don’t know DEVIL, perhaps you and your comrades have been playing in the dirt for so long, you’ve forgot that you’ve gotten dirty?

    Just a thought:

Has America become more concerned, not necessarily consciously or with intent, but, has our Society reached a point whereby National Elections come and go so quickly, that they are more about procedure and mechanics, NOT substance, and/or Governance?  The political pace of America and, perhaps, some other nations has become so frenzied that problem solving is difficult, if not impossible?

While America dithers away 4 years in a chronic internal debate combined with various machinations, other Nations, supposedly not as advanced or sophisticated as we, but functioning at a slower Socio/Political pace than America, actually plot, plan and make progress?  (If this is the case, then must we conclude that America was once operating at a pace that allowed for greater societal productivity?)

So, is America a victim of its own democratic inertia, curiously brought about by over activity and has this fact put America in peril from other Nations, cultures, societies, etc., that while we debate our own place in the world, others are planning, thus making that decision for us?

Ergo, does any democratic-republic have a point in it’s evolution, whereby that society becomes so preoccupied with the machine and procedure, that very real and substantive problems, needs and threats go unnoticed or un-heeded?

After all, the “American Experiment,” has always been just that, an experiment!  To America’s credit, American’s have always born that burden with dignity and success…God Speed!

I have to wonder what Pablo could object to in Conssuckballs’ post, since Pablo apparently approves of Cain’s use of sexist language towards Pelosi. It does not look like he has any moral authority due to his rather obvious hypocrisy.

Simple. They gave half-facts all the time. X % don’t pay taxes. What does that really mean?
Paul and Perry agree to get rid of the Department of Commerce. Guess what. COMMERCE is specifically mentioned in the Constitution. Congress is charged with regulating all commerce, foreign and domestic. Congress does this by passing laws and funding the Department of Commerce, but Congress does not run the daily activities of the Department of Commerce because that is the job of the Executive Branch. Still, it is ultimately CONGRESS’ responsibility under the Constitution to regulate Commerce.
Eliminating the Department of Commerce would be UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
