Awkward! Last night Governor Ed Rendell appeared on CNN’s Parker-Spitzer program to discuss — what else — the midterm elections of 2010. The mundane appearance took a rather unfortunate turn as Mr. Rendell made a cumbersome farewell to the co-hosts wrapping up the segment. “Have fun with that younger woman,” the Governor said to Eliot Spitzer, in reference to Kathleen Parker, to which Mr. Spitzer replied “dangerous words!”

If Spitzer didn’t have a sense of humor about his past, he would not be on TV, for sure. And I have to thnk that Parker understands that issue and is committed to playing it off to humor, to a point. Rendell was pretty close to that point, I bet.

Via J.P. Freire at the Examiner, a supporter of Democrat congressional candidate Tom Perriello and Barack Obama demonstrates a little, ahem, “insane rage” that won’t be spotlighted on the nightly news or decried on the NYTimes op-ed page.

Especially love how he screams “You f**king House nigger white-black bitch!” at a black GOP woman and then turns around and screams “RAAAAACIST!” at her and the rest of the peaceful conservative activists peacefully sitting together in their yard.

She’s actually quite a bit older than Spitzer, not that you’d know from looking at the two of them. I think that was Rendell’s idea of a compliment: “She looks so good, even YOU’D take a shot at her, ya nutty whoremonger!”
