In Dr. Drew’s HLN Debut, Sammy Hagar Describes ‘Extraterrestrial Encounter’

And you thought Dr. Drew only talked about addiction. Ha! In tonight’s HLN debut of Dr. Drew, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar talks about rock and roll, relationships–and his encounter with extraterrestrials. “Call me crazy all you want,” Hagar says. “Anyone who says there’s no one in this whole universe, we’re the only ones? That’s crazy.” And Dr. Drew gets that, though he says he remains “skeptical of the guys in the white light.”

As for the encounter, which Hagar has written about in his book Red, the rocker says “I’m dreaming, I see these guys in my head.” They were “beams of light,” he says, and “they were kind of blue.”

In the interview, which airs tonight at 9 p.m. on HLN, Hagar also talks about his painful separation from Van Halen (who’s your favorite, Hagar or David Lee Roth?) and the collapse of his friendship with Eddie Van Halen.

Watch a preview here, from HLN:

If you or I took as many drugs as Sammy we’d have also gone past ‘ out of body experiences ‘ to ‘ out of this world. More illegal drugs have passed though him than most South or Central American countries.

Saw him live last year (opened for Aerosmith)… it’s a shame the aliens didn’t keep him.

In Dr. Drew’s HLN Debut, Sammy Hagar Describes ‘Extraterrestrial Encounter’

I think Sammy just had a drug enhanced nightmare.
But I think he is right when he talks about live being “out there”.
There billions of stars and trillions of planets just in our little Milky Way galaxy. (And i’m not even talking about the billions of other galaxys in the universe)
If life can exist here on Earth then it is guaranteed that there is life somewhere “out there”
I think when we get out there we will find that the Milky Way is teeming with life. (And mabe a large % of that life will be intelligent, Hopefully)
