Emmitt Till was just 14 when he was killed in Mississippi for whistling at a white woman whom he considered pretty:

If you’ve never read his whole story, I ask you to consider reading it and understanding that generations of people were treated like trash, only valuable to cook or clean or chauffeur or pick cotton.  No one leaves this type of environment without wounds; not necessarily of hate towards those who resisted our integration but with a deep sadness that another human being could delight in your degradation.

Did you know PPP also polled democrats on the same question, promised to release those results and have yet to do so.  Being as though the polling was done last April, one would think they have had time to release the information.
