SNL’s Sexy Jon Hamm As Sexy Scott Brown

For all of you who wonder how Scott Brown could have possibly snuck in and taken Massachusetts from under the nose of the legacy ruling-power Democrats, well, this sketch is your answer: He took it with a smile and a wink and then by throwing it up against a wall with them both breathing heavily, faces really close, bodies fused, and — anyhow, Scott Brown is a rather handsome person and so is Jon Hamm, so it makes perfect sense to have had Hamm portray him rather sexily in the SNL sketch addressing his victory in the Massachusetts Senate race. This is a top-notch SNL sketch: Funny, clear concept, strong characterizations, and lots of gyrating sexy-dancing Jon Hamm, made even sexier with a Mass accent. As a sexy shirtless doctor to Senator Barbara Boxer: “I’m against the public option but I can offer you a pubic option. Because I just found a lump – in my underpants.” As a sexy shirtless disco dancing San Franciscan to Speaker Nancy Pelosi: “I want to introduce something to the floor. It’s called – your panties.” As a sexy shirtless construction worker to Congressman Barney Frank: “You worried about a filibuster? ‘Cause I’m about to filibust out of these jean shorts.” Tightly written, neatly escalated, completely topical, and to the point, this is how all SNL sketches should be. And a sexy Jon Hamm doesn’t hurt, either. They are positively playing to virality (not to mention virility!) with this one.
