Jon Stewart And Bill O’Reilly – Part II

video

Tonight The O’Reilly Factor aired the third of three segments of host Bill O’Reilly interviewing Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show. A hackneyed bit on O’Reilly’s plans to run president with Stewart as his VP served as entree into a variety of political issues of the day, including global warming, the threat of nuclear weapons, terrorism and military tribunals. All in all an interesting, yet unsatisfying experience. Let’s see a three-hour unedited debate on Pay-per-view, with proceeds going to some charity. Go!

I thought it was quite funny and enjoyed it. Why did you find it “unsatisfactory”?

PS: You have some vile comment by Duc something other other on your thread about “Palin responds to Rush” (which by the way, your update is false in that story).

I thought it was pretty funny too, and at least Stewart didn’t go overboard in ridiculing everyone.

It was pretty good, even though Stewart seemed a bit bored.

Stewart toyed with O’Reilly – and he’s how other networks should respond to the O’Reilly/Beck/Peewee Herman/Hannity schedule on Fox Not News Channel. After all, it’s only entertainment – right?

If Stewart didn’t act so childish and give such childish examples when talking about politics, maybe he would actually be credible. Stewart is only good for laughing at, not with because he acts like a 7 year old…O’Reilly actually acts like an adult and speaks like one. O’Reilly wins.

It was pretty much what I expected based upon the previous interactions between the two characters and the way they’ve historically interacted with their guests. I’m looking forward to watching the unedited video, but I’m not seeing an obvious link on fox.com or in O’Reilly’s section, so if anyone finds the address, please share.

Thanks CRZ — If I don’t get to it tonight, I’ll catch it in the morning.

I think it was good, pretty funny. The difference between the two, who are both smart, and funny, is that obviously Stewart rules when it comes to humor and wit, and O’Reilly rules when it comes to smarts. When the topic gets too serisous, Stewart is able to joke his way out of the situation… So, he has the ability to make fun of O’Reilly and win that *round* but I think if Jon was ever forced to not joke, and just go straight up debate, he would lose. He definitely has intelligence, but I think Bill is smarter. I love the minds of comedians, and their quick wit. And Stewart defnintely uses his humor well, to get out of tough situations.
